PRIVATE INVESTIGATION

An investigator is an agent of his client (complainant, supervisor or employer) who uses his professional skill and knowledge to assist that client in matters which, if left unresolved, will have some effect on the way that the client operates, either as an individual or as an organisation.

CRIMINOLOGY AND CRIMINAL
PROFILING COURSE

What is Criminology?
"Criminology" is derived from the Latin crimen, which means accusation, and the transliterated Greek logia, which has come to denote "the study of." Therefore, the term literally means "the study of crime." Criminology is a branch of sociology and has, in effect, been studied in one way or another for thousands of years.

FORENSIC GRAPHOLOGY
COURSE

Welcome to the forensic graphology course! The study of Graphology consists in placing the individual graphic expression in close relationship with the identity of the writing subject and in attributing specific meanings to the signs that are traced on the paper. This makes writing one of the most complex and significant human behaviors.

GDPR
COURSE

After over four years of discussion, the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) was adopted on April 27, 2016 and became effective on May 25, 2018. The GDPR replaces the EU’s Data Protection Directive (95/46 EU) which has served as the main instrument of the EU for almost two decades. GDPR is directly applicable to all EU Member States without the need for implementing national legislation.
Effectiveness of the training action.
ETU Institute considers the teaching cycle, not only to be a temporary process that is as long as the student’s specific academic path, but as a long-term evolution of the student's personal knowledge. In fact, ETU thinks about the creation of an innovative training path, created for and around the student, both in a synchronous and asynchronous mode; each student has the possibility to connect and interact with teachers and tutors both in an online and/or off-line mode.
Furthermore, in order to improve the effectiveness of its teaching, ETU implements the following:
• A meticulous planning of training courses, continuous research in the sector for the improvement and constant updating of teaching;
• A European-level approach to training courses so as not to create "virtual" barriers or difficulties for the future professional choices;
• The possibility of choosing the language of instruction between English or Italian;
• Total use of the study material which can be found entirely online;
• Online technical / administrative support ;
• Online library for educational support to students;
• Teacher support with professional updating courses for staff members;
• Online tutor support for students.

Centrality of the student.
The student is at the heart of the Institute, and for this reason, it places him/her at the centre of the training and research, administrative procedures and the relations with the working world; the institute also encourages his/her full participation and involvement in teaching life, with the goal of letting him/her contribute to his/her socio-economic environment. The formative life cycle of the student is carefully followed from the first moments of contact with the institution and, in particular, from the orientation activities up to the completion of the training course.
This type of approach is designed to push the student to interact more and more often with the teacher while at the same time, guarantee support to the teacher; these two processes lead to the establishment of a relationship based on mutual respect between the two parties, and the creation of a professional, dynamic and innovative relationship.
The Institute also pays attention to continuously and systematically listening to the reports and needs of its students, of all training cycles, through digital and classic systems.

Teaching staff.
ETU Institute guarantees the competence of the teachers, through a rigorous selection process. All teachers and tutors working at ETU Institute must possess the appropriate skills and qualifications in their field of study. The qualification of teachers and tutors should be at least one level higher than the level of the course they teach (i.e. a level 6 course requires a teacher or tutor with at least level -7 qualification) or at the same level but substantial relevant experience.
Teachers are responsible for designing course modules and student assessment methods using the latest methods of pedagogy, taking into account both the needs of the students and the characteristics of e-learning.

Learning resources and student support.
ETU Institute recognizes in its policy the importance of student support and strives to promote student access to quality training, through its teaching, research and teaching facilities,.
The services for the student must be able to accompany them throughout the training, both from the phase of entry guidance to the tutoring, up to the job placement, in close collaboration with the entrepreneurial fabric.
It recognizes as vital the monitoring processes of student service delivery actions.
The Institute's actions can be divided into:
1. Orientation: recognizes the student's right to access the training courses offered, and to be given the opportunity to make an informed choice about their area of study;
2. Tutoring: The online teaching tutor (TDO) is a support figure in the eLearning course, helping students to confidently approach a technological environment that might otherwise be perceived as cold and hostile.
3. Right to study: It is active in removing barriers of an economic-social nature, favouring the entry of students with disabilities through scholarships and reduced fees and through personal assistance with the application of new learning technologies;
4. Technological support: It strives for the enhancement of the e-Library library services (Perlego), guaranteeing students online access to all the teaching and administrative services that are necessary and indispensable for the training activities

Technological innovation.
Today's society is evolving very quickly, above all from a pedagogical and technological point of view. The digital natives, and others, are in “need“ of using technology to face everyday life; however even though the academic world is not evolving at the same speed, it is increasingly heading towards the digitalization of teaching and learning. ETU wants to invest considerably in this process of change, with a continuous attention on research and experimentation of innovative didactics, through the application of technological tools able to favour an updating of approaches and didactic-pedagogical methods.
