The Research Development (RD) team at ETU Malta is dedicated to supporting faculty members across departments in securing internal and external grants, fellowships, and research-related funding. Our mission is to help researchers pursue innovative projects and maximize their academic impact.
We assist faculty in identifying opportunities to support research, equipment, conferences, travel, sabbaticals, digital projects, publications, and more. Our team offers personalized consultations, tailored funding searches, and guidance on setting up automated funding alerts using commercial databases.
From individual applications to large-scale collaborative projects, our team provides feedback and strategic advice. We maintain a library of successful proposals, review drafts, and support the creation of broader impact statements, management plans, and timelines to strengthen submissions.
ETU’s RD team organizes workshops on grantsmanship, hosts visits from funding agencies, and facilitates one-on-one meetings with program officers. We also maintain an extensive online resource hub, including lists of internal and external funding opportunities for faculty and postdoctoral scholars.
